This will be our 10th year to walk the walk for Carry the Load. 2013 was the first year I heard about Carry the Load. I served 13 years as a Signal Support NCO in the Army National Guard. I went through multiple deployments going from Iraq and Djibouti, Africa. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, but it helped me grow up, which I needed. I learned valuable lessons that helped me grow into who I am today. I just returned from Djibouti, Africa, and came across Carry the Load. I lost a few people when I served, but I never knew a good way to remember them. They hold a special place in my heart, and I will never forget them in saying that if you want to give back but don't know how. Carry the Load is a great Charity to support. The "Shield & Support Chronicle" is more than just a blog; it's a gathering place for stories of bravery, sacrifice, and community spirit. Our mission is twofold:

1. Shining a Light on Local Heroes: Our military personnel and first responders are the backbone of our safety and well-being. Through this platform, we aim to share their stories, challenges, and triumphs, bringing deserved recognition to these unsung heroes.
2. Fostering Community Support: This blog will also serve as a conduit for community support, offering resources, news, and ways in which we can all contribute to supporting our local heroes.
